I am fascinated by natural landscapes, the visual impact of sky and earth compositions peppered by the textures of forests, fields, rocks, and water.  The intricate color combinations get subtly filtered through shifting changes in light.  Add in the sense of scale and space and my mood is one of pure delight.

My recent landscape paintings are symbolic recreations meant to capture some of the sensation of natural landscapes.  Colors, patterns, textures, and shapes are layered on intense areas of watercolor to divide images of earth and sky in the light at a captured moment in time.

Each work is my hope to catch on paper a pleasing mood inspired by a landscape.  I invite you take a little trip and look around.
